Y'know, I thought of that when I watched Cowboy Bebop, too. My left eye does "see the past" as it is a reminder of what once was there while the right shows a story of ever trying to escape the reality of blindness always nipping at my heels.

Not quite as exciting as Spike's description from Jupiter Jazz, but it's what I took from it. :)

<LoL!> Hearing how much everyone has liked my eyes makes me glad I posted this. Those eyes are what you get with a lifetime of battling glaucoma. Most wouldn't say they are nice, but hearing such positivity makes me more glad to have at least something fun as a result of my war against blindness. :)

On a side note, the eye doctors have asked me a few times if I wanted to have my left eye removed due to how it doesn't work at all. However, I can't part with it. It's what makes me who I am and, even if it doesn't work, it is mine. :)

Oh, wow! :D It's neat to see what you look like! I'm always curious about these things, and you're brave for sharing - I dunno if I could post a photo on my FA account! In any case, you look great, and your eyes are definitely cool looking!

What you see in the eyes is 30+ eye surgeries coupled with years of glaucoma damage. They are my "scars of war" for doing all I can to keep my sight and I am very proud to have them as proof of how determination can help you not go silently into the night.

Plus, it makes me feel better about myself to know I can do this where, a year ago, I would've not been able to for how ashamed of myself I still was. *Crinkly super hugs* Thanks so much for helping me to come out of my shame and be proud of who I am.
