RL intrudes: We just got whacked with the
first big snowstorm of the season. Roads
were lethal (I know; I was on ‘em).
Well, in sonnet #18 the bunny got in some
opinions about winter. Thought I’d give her wolf
husband an opportunity to weigh in.
(I’ll be over here fighting with the snowblower… :- ) )

On The First Real <Fwump!> of Snow (#21)
Fall’s done, no doubt about it. What a blow.
All yesterday, all white, the roads a mess.
I venture out to woodshed. Well I know
The value of warm fire. Makes winter less.
Still, careful with the fur. Quick lesson learned.
She singed tail once; hot bunny got too hot.
But deep snow, chill air, cures whatever’s burned.
And whoo, today we’ve really got a lot.
Wolf weather, actually. Fine time of year
For those with fangs ‘n tails, big paws ‘n fur.
We’re made for snow. I just love it out here.
Harder for prey to hide (this includes her).
White woods and winter moon call both of us.
Those echoed howls ‘n giggles? Shhh, don’t fuss.

Dare I say, the snow didn't miss us. Some beauty to it,
though. Got a cam, should post a few snaps.
For six months of the year I call this zone the Tundra
of Knowlesville. For a reason.
Think this sonnet pegs these two as Canadian, now that I
think of it. Love of winter, love of doing, er, things in the snow.
It fits. :- )
