This is Watership Down fanpoetry (if such a word exists). It is set after the conclusion of the story, and sees Hazel reflecting on both his past adventures and his beloved mate, Hyzenthlay, who lies beside him in their burrow.

NB: the Hyzenthlay Bunny to whom this poem is dedicated is not the Hyzenthlay in the poem, but rather a real person whom I knew slightly via the WD fandom before she sadly died in 2003.
