I've never tried alligator or crocodile meat - they say it tastes something like chicken but I have my doubts about that. Have you tried it? If so, how would you describe it?

Well, ostrich apparently tastes much like beef, according to Piet. I've seen it at the one grocery store and I'm kind of tempted to try it . . . it would be the closest thing to eating dinosaur, ostriches being very primitive birds.

It's a pity the Maori hunted the Moa to extinction here in NZ, they were even more so than ostriches I would imagine.

But meat is so delicious! My partner is vegetarian... I keep trying to tempt him with bacon, but haven't had any success with that as yet.
