I've been wanting one for a while, and they had them at a reptile show I went to last weekend!! I love their iridescence <3
If I care for this one successfully I'll get him some buddies down the line.. I know there's a shop in Berkeley that has them. But since they're expensive I might wait until I can determine this one's sex, because I want to breed them. However I'm unsure if you can breed two different subspecies. http://www.dendrobates.org/dendrobatoidea.html Does anyone know?
I want a strawberry one the most.. they're my favorite http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1440&bih=727&tbm=isch&tbnid=wh9lD8_6aZwAdM:&imgrefurl=http://www.art.com/products/p14354307-sa-i2853493/brian-kenney-strawberry-poison-arrow-frog-costa-rica.htm&docid=yWtJo_i10aeo2M&imgurl=http://cache2.artprintimages.com/p/LRG/27/2790/JFGOD00Z/art-print/brian-kenney-strawberry-poison-arrow-frog-costa-rica.jpg&w=400&h=300&ei=s6a1TrzCMorXiQLEg-h2&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1141&vpy=75&dur=323&hovh=188&hovw=259&tx=118&ty=143&sig=110677329411694906642&page=1&tbnh=168&tbnw=258&start=0&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:0

I wish this guy wasn't so shy.. he's ALWAYS hiding so far, but maybe it's because it's so cold here lately.
Someone on DA brought up a point I should've cleared up.. domestic poison dart frogs aren't poisonous. Wild ones eat ants in their natural habitat that have alkaloids that make their skin turn toxic.
