Freakfest 2011, Madison Wisconsin 10-29-2011
This is the 500 block of State street in Madison Wisconsin, looking northeast towards the Capital (you can see it lit up in the background).
Believe it or not, this is considered a 'light crowd of 40K' compared to the 100-125K a few years ago (read my journal discussing this). Back then it was so crowded it could take up to 10 minutes just to work yourself from one side of the street to the other.
After walking up and down numerous times I like to park myself at the 500 block and people watch.

I loved going to that XD Was always so fun to see the creative costumes. My dad was a firefighter down there for a long time and he used to drive down the street to see all the crazy stuff people did... never mind some of the calls. My step dad actually owns some property down there on State Street. Not in the nicer university side but on the less nice stuff closer to the capital.
