This is Meerana, she is a deep sea mermaid or S'idhee. She's the result of many character revisions for an old story of mine. Yes, I had waaaay too much fun with her bioluminescence.
S'idhee have a very unique ability. They are able to teleport through water, be it an ocean or a puddle in a parking lot. As long as the puddle is wide enough to fix through, the depth doesn't matter. Most of their cities exist in water caves deep beneath the surface, away from prying eyes. Highly intelligent, most understand English along with their own language. They are bioluminescent and each individual has their own pattern and color. S'idhee are predatory creatures and commonly hunt in the deep ocean where their glowing skin can be used to attract prey.
