Maybe there was a reason she would wake up during those times, perhaps she's about to find something deeper about herself. Something that caused issues in her life? All I know is that you've definitely taken an unexpected turn in the story, things suddenly seem a bit dark.
That's good though, it captures the audience keeping them turning along as the story goes. Now I'm actually itching to see what's next! o-o Negetives are what pushes a story forward, and I have a feeling that she's going to have to face them.

The destroyed background here stands in stark contrast to the bright happy daycare scenes and the sterile but tidy scenes of Gemma's waking life. But what's the room she's standing in as she looks through the doorway? The color changes at the threshold. It looks like there's been a fire in that room, but not this one.
Every time Gemma has awakened, then slept again, there's been a sign that her little self's story continued off-camera. There's no sign of that continuity here. Where is she now? Is anyone else here? This doesn't seem like a return to the same dream, or whatever it is, as before; this seems like a departure, something else. Perhaps this is a proper dream, as opposed to the strange continuous experience she's been having.

What intrigues me is the perfect condition of her sleeper. Its is perfect condition and is very nice looking where as the scene here is full of decay almost as if nobody bothered to clean or keep anything is good condition. Could she be dreaming while dreaming? The thing that I can think of is that something has only just happened to cause the house to look the way it does such as a fire or something. But there just isn't enough damage to support that theory. And if she lives in poor conditions how does she have nice clothes? Being poor would make her clothes less than perfect and if her parents just dont give a damn then again they wouldn't bother with buying her nice things. Welp, all I can do is wait and see. xD
Oh, and great comic so far. One thing I noticed is a stark coloring difference between the "dream" world and the "real" world. Dream world uses a lot of bright colors (yellow, bright red, light blue, etc) while the dream world uses dull colors (grey, maroon, dark blue, etc). I thought that was a great detail.
