Hey guys, I'm still skitching!
Notes about my critters:
Hands and feet are also distinguishing characteristics for SGP characters. The majority of “silly” characters have four fingers on each hand (or three fingers and a thumb/dewclaw, to be pedantic) and three toes on each foot. Their legs are more often digitigrade, though their arms and shoulders may resemble those of either a human or an animal, depending.
“Serious” characters generally have five fingers (four fingers and a thumb) on each hand but only four toes. There is an in-world superstition linked to a time pre-history when seventeen became the highest “known” number: four fingers on each hand, four toes on each foot, and a tail = seventeen. The superstition persisted well beyond the time of historic record, when civilized beings came to be able to use their once-latent dewclaws (thumbs).
