With Forza Motorsport 4 coming out next Friday, I thought I'd let my inner car nerd out a bit by giving the Batch 17 GELFs some hovercars.
The basic idea I've had for vehicles in the ITS universe is that on-land, anti-grav technology has become commonplace, but is often applied to existing car designs, rather than being developed for purpose-built Anti-Grav racers like in the Wipeout games.
I apologise for the lack of lines for the doors, I couldn't quite get it looking right without getting awkward. XD
Anyways! Blue is fond of racing games, and in particular he loves Japanese tuner cars (Especially after discovering some episodes of Initial D on an old human internet archive). His car is mostly based on earlier models of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, primarily the Lancer Evo VI. He's not very good at drifting, mind you.
Red meanwhile has been watching too many 1970s action movies, and feels that a classic American muscle car would suit his style. Accordingly, his car is based on the 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator (Which I had the pleasure of driving last night in the Forza Motorsport 4 demo, and loved every moment of it.)
The other two Batch 17 GELFs haven't been shown here, but Chaz would probably go for something sensible, such as a Volkswagen Golf or Fox. Something he can afford that'll get him where he needs to be. City cars suit him fine.
Finally, Green would most likely make the same mistake as Itsuki in Initial D made, and buy a crappy old Toyota AE85 Levin thinking it was an AE86 Trueno. :D
(My god I've become some kind of car nerd D: )

Indeedy! I've had fun with them in Forza 3 too... will probably be a little bit before I get around to trying out 4, but I will sooner or later. ^^ Having gotten a chance to rent a Dodge Challenger last year and actually drive a muscle car a little bit in real life, it definitely left a fun impression on me too!
