Finally! here is the finished creature I came up with for s comic "hell" I changed the mouth a bit. so this is the creature with it's maw closed. I'll mabey edit the horns later on and replace them with crystals or something. AND I'm aware of the fact that everything looks all out of proportion etc. but the hell I was too lazy xD)

Bios:
name Mamgaroth (maybe change the name later)
height: 3-5 metres (when walking on 2 legs)
length: 15-25 metres
speed: 30-40 mph
nutrition: carnivorous

habitat: active volcanos on the planet stratok

to safe energy it often drifts in magma streams without moving at all. when moving from a magma-lake to another it will leave the area by crawling on his crab-like legs that are placed on his tail and throat. his moving signature resembles that of a snake. if the mamgaroth sees a potential prey it will open his big eye on the forehead, which is hidden behind stone plates, to focus on the victim. now the mamgaroth unfolds his running legs that are placed almost seamlessly under his chest ( the fingers are losely connected to the leg so it can sort of rotate them around the ankle). the other legs will be retracted under the tail and neck. when he caugth the prey he will reveal his giant maw that is hidden behind the stone-plates and ram his sharp teeth inside it. if that wasn't enough the mamgaroth will also inject a slowly but very effective nerve-poison into the victim in case it manages to escape.
rarely the mamgaroth will hunt a victim down with its tail, using it like a scorpionstinger. the tailtip is also used during fight with other mamgaroth in the mating-session.
the "horns" on his skull are actually petrified gills from his larval-stadium. the thorns on his back are regulators for the body-temperature.
