Yes, yes, a married wolf fur and bunny fur,
nothing unusual for around here. A case of
opposites *really* attracting, perhaps?
No doubt. But as a wolf and a bunny (or at
least closely related) you gotta think there’s
a leetle more to it than that. . .
Have I said that I'm genuinely starting to have fun with
these two? It shows? Good, good . . .

I get a mile away, it seems to fade.
It could be just me. Bunny ears do not
Work like radar. That’s not the way they’re made.
Wolf ears the same; damn good but not that hot.
It’s not sound that’s the point here. Don’t mistake.
We’ll play-hunt, both invisible as air.
It still works, even in the dark. Not fake
This spooky sense between lupine and hare.
Some friends, tiger and mouse, tell much the same.
We *know* the other’s there, can feel their will.
A hunter/hunted thing? The fangy game
Honed generations past. We share that skill.
All moot to us. We’ve other appetites.
In love is how we spend our hungry nights.

Started writing this, finished it, said yeah, that one nails
it well enough. . .
Then realized I'd forgotten to include the prompt word.
