Bunnies On The Roadside 2 - Pencils And Papers - colour 1
i was going to do more fine detail shadows and such, but i decided, no, i like how this looks...
There is a colour line version in the works (bunny is done, all the bg to go...) where i might do the detailed shadows etc
There is also an a slightly older colour version i might post....
Maybe re-post this without the lettering...(it was on the original so i left it in here....)
Text from ink version post:
From around 10 or 15 years ago...
During the economic depression of the 1930's some inner city folks tried to scrape-by by selling pencils, old newspaper for fire-starters, whatever junk they could find...
The "Bunnies On The Roadside" series had this sort of ambiguity - on the one paw they were "Damsels In Distress", and on the other paw they were survivors and adventures, able to care for themselves in difficult times...
we all want to be survivors, but we could also all do with a bit rescue and love...
Will Eisner is another major influence on me - almost never shows-up in any noticeable way...but here in the background...yeah...
Sakura etc pens approx 8 1/2 x 4 inches
Bitmap path traced to vectors in Inkscape
Flat colours in PaintshopPro7
Hard Light airbrushing in PainterX
Just Inks Version :

The Bunnies On The Roadside series sort of brings out that guys wanting to Knights In Shining Armor thing, but the idea in the series is that these young women are coping, having an adventure, and they'll be just fine - When we meet them we'll meet strong, clever, resourceful women who might go awwww at our cute boyish attitudes....if we're lucky.... ^_^
Oh, I know, and I find that most appealing. Hell, my main character is a retired time cop who can kill an opponent fifteen different ways, fly/drive/sail anything with wheels/wings/hulls and still be a knock-down gorgeous MILF with an eye for the ladies...
Thanx! ^_^
And no need to apologize! i wasn't offended ! While i thought the story of American Tail was a turkey, the art style was quite good.
And i'm groovin on your story Keeping Up With Thursday! Thanx fr the neeters story!!!
