You know Shuten Douji (Anubis in the dub) is serious when he uses his Red Thunder Strike (Quake with Fear) attack -- someone's in trouble!
This is actually one half of a larger piece, Redemption, and was designed in tandem with my other art of Shuten, Loyalty! OK, so I've definitely fallen back in love with the Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) and particularly Shuten! I've never drawn ANY of the characters from it in their armor, so this was a first! Finding decent references for all the details was tricky but I did my best and I think he came out great! No helmet for obvious reasons, heh!
I accidentally started drawing this on a canvas much larger than I'd intended and didn't realize it until I was half done -- whoops! XP I shrunk it as much as I could without sacrificing quality, but if FA eats it you can find the full sized piece on my DeviantArt for better quality!
