An interesting character metanarratively, but we'll focus on her lore:
Deep in the interstellar space, positioned close along a busy trade hyperlane, there is Interstellar Interchange #37, aka The Marigold Interstellar Interchange, aka simply "Marigold", a stopover station meant to serve as a refueling station and rest stop; essentially a glorified roadside motel, gas station/airport, and convenience store all in one, although a fair bit more dignified about it given the complexities and infrastructure needed to keep such a location running.

Trill is the controlling admin AI of Marigold, effectively its governor alongside a paired organic lead administrator. She is a high-level, sapient AI, and serves as the face and main interface for all those needing to deal with some stationside matter. Trill is extremely civil, straight-laced, and a little imperious, though the lastmost mostly when it comes to station staff and its artificial workforce. She runs a tight ship and has high expectations of her crew, but is fair so long as those expectations are met. Hence why (at least she presumes) the Marigold maintains its high standards of care and customer satisfaction, something she takes sincere pride in.
