Due to complications from laying her egg, her bio mother died shortly after laying it. And for the same complications, Kno never actually developed vocal cords, rendering her mute. And her bio dad died from injuries protect protecting her egg from predators.

When Nermal found her egg on a hike with Leonard and the Lillith, she was thankfully only a few hours away from hatching, which is good news, because Nermal really did not know how to look look after and hatch an egg, I mean, he didn't really know how to raise a child either, but raising a child was apparently easier.

She also never really learned how to read or write, something about both of those never clicked with her, so with that and her mutism, and no one in her life knowing sign language to teach to her, really the only way she can communicate is through body language. And after decades of communicating in that way, she got really good at communicating through charades.



She doesn't get to go swimming often, but when she does, she absolutely loves it, she loves beaches. Doesn't really matter what type, whether it's ocean, sea, lake, river. So long as there is water and a shore, she is for it. (she doesn't care one way or another about jellyfish, she just happens to have a shirt with jellyfish print on them)
