You’re floating, feeling light, weightless, empty headed and happy. You’re sinking, feeling heavy, sleepy, mindless and calm. Your mind is a clear blue sky and a deep endless ocean. Rising and sinking constantly all at once, like a layering of different trances pulling your mind in opposite directions, all of which make you so blank and hypnotized.

This file focuses on the experience of feeling oneself experiencing a trance in which they are deepening constantly, feeling heavy and sedated, and one in which they are floating, weightless, and drifting every upwards at the same time. These trances are experienced simultaneously like a superposition, with the effect of being made extra fractionated by the constant overlapping of opposite sensations.

The file begins with a relaxation induction, with particular attention paid to the sensations in the listener’s body, before switching from the “sinking” trance to the “floating” trance. As the file goes on, the switching back and forth between the two becomes more rapid, before the listener is guided into experiencing both at the same time. Both the “sinking” and “floating” trance have their own binaural beats frequencies (101 and 132, respectively), and during the superposition trance, these frequencies are combined. Suggestions are planted about how powerful it can be to experience impossible sensations, such as rising and sinking at the same time, in hypnosis, and about how good the listener can feel about their skill as a subject to experience these things, before the file transitions to a count up.
