❌ DO NOT TRACE, REPOST, HEAVILY REFERENCE, RECOLOUR OR SELL MY ARTWORK FOR ANY REASON. ❌🐶🐺I based this art around the complicated and conflicting emotions after SA, pulling from my own personal experiences. I mainly focused on covering the intense feelings of disassociation and shame, along with elements of seeing the partner through rose-tinted glasses. I used a range of different mediums in this piece, such as illustration, scrapbooking techniques and acrylic paint to create something that reflects the messy and disorientating nature. While I was working on this, I decided to incorporate these puffy heart stickers that I own to give a contrast with the harsher elements of the piece and in doing so, I think it adds a nice visual pop to it. Making this has really allowed me to focus on my own emotions, as well as to explore more mediums that I have often shied away from using in my art. I would love to explore using acrylic paint more frequently in my art like this, as I had a lot of fun using it to create the background. 🐺🐶
