Those Improved hybrids numbered 1-100 were sadistically cyborgized without anesthesia to determine their pain threshold. Then they were instructed, tranquilized, placed in capsules and sent to grey planet. However, those who had the number 101-200 were in for a different procedure, they had more than 50% of their body replaced under anesthesia, but even with such precautions, not everyone survived because the operations were becoming more and more complicated. They were called Immortals because they no longer needed to eat or sleep, and their aging was significantly slowed, plus they gained increased strength and agility. A side effect of this was that the hybrids became depressed due to what had been done to them. The final experiments were also unable to reproduce normally, as all they had left of their original bodies was their head and a few organs.
Ignatius, also known as experiment 198-I, is the last Immortal who survived cyborgization because numbers 199 and 200 did not survive the operation, which was planned to transplant only their brains into android bodies. The result was a durable, long-lasting and deadly machine, which, to be on the safe side, was placed unconscious in a capsule and sent to grey planet. To say that Iggy hated those, who disfigured him so much is to say nothing. Since he woke up and left his capsule he swore to take revenge on them at any cost. At the same time, he shows great compassion for all members of his species, especially for Improved ones. Moreover, Ignatius managed to assemble a big squad to escape from the garbage planet, which included Effie. After being rescued by smugglers, he became the leader of the free gunsawians, and now this cyborg is hatching daring plans to free all the rest of his kind from the oppression of the cruel corporation.
