...and something found you.

Things all happened at once. Floating arms twisted and dove through the air racing closer. The thing still toyed with drips of water as if it cared so little for the intrusion. Fear rose into the throat and yet it held along with a breath in hopes that the thing truly didn't notice. Watching had made it clear it was some form of blind. Only to watch in horror as the triangular sigils in the snake's floating hood all turned like they were gazing right at you.

Those bare moments were enough to turn that sliver of possible scape into an impossibility. The head turned as if waiting for the situation to turn with a demented grin that looked giddy to torment it's prey. Now it was clear what danger had been waiting for a fool like you to find it. The rumors of those dissapearing in the dark depths were far too true.

Just maybe, maybe, if you kept really still...(continued)
