Lupines are not the only high creature in the Princedom: it arose out of a morass of many tribes vying for dominance in the primitive world, tribes united primarily by their species kinship, and the early wolves were just the lucky ones to unify pack-clans and reform a feudal structure first. However, not all their relations with the other tribes were innately hostile.
The ravens were often fast allies with the wolves, offering their skills in scouting and tracking to the physically-stronger tribes, who could themselves fell greater prey or ward off hostile raiders with the ravens' guidance. This especially worked out with the wolves' pack-like cooperative nature, and the ravens were more or less integrated outright into the nascent Princedom's population, trusted as few other non-wolves are.
Thus we have The Tracker, one such instance! Employed by a county jarl, he serves as a groundskeeper and huntsman, paid to keep the local forests maintained, its population of quarry suitably managed for his lord's hunts, and to keep poachers from encroaching and stealing from the lord's lands. As a noble courtier, he's relatively well-off, and can afford a life of relative ease, knowing his position is secure.
As well, this serves as a fine example that the Indulgence is not limited to merely wolves; all species can be afflicted by it, just the same, and come away as bloated, magic-enriched blimps. Some make do, however, even if it makes a tighter squeeze at times!
(Also, as some ecologically-inclined may catch, this is a cheeky nod to the real-life mutualism found between wolves and ravens, as the ravens lead wolves to dead or dying prey, and the wolves gather around to make the kill and open the carcass for all to feed from!)
