A hypothetical what-if take of Shieldy, imagining if she and her Skjulver were forced to finally concede with the times passing them by; an idea largely from  ReturnToSender, the Magelock. Essentially combining early firearms with magic-soaked wadding in the powder to create magically-enriched smoke; while still perfectly useable even to a layperson for simply blasting lead about, this method creates a perfect conduit by which to cast spells, if you have the means to do so. Much as she never wanted to admit to it, Shieldy had mana to spare, so why not adapt it into her and her Skjulver's tactics as a frontline of heavy infantry, a stern, durable force to let the foe break themselves upon, if they aren't shredded to pieces under volleys of magical hellfire!

Of course, Shieldy quietly hopes it never comes to this and the Skjulver, her royal guard, keeps to tradition, but one knows how foolhardy this is...
