Fluttershy and Discord are married in my AU, and this is their child!
Novelty is an awkward critter who has a hard time fitting in. Though they can use chaos magic, it works differently than their father's (presumably because pony magic tempers their powers.)
Novelty can shapeshift and bend reality here and there, but they have yet to tap into the magic of friendship.

Color-wise, this design mostly has hues pulled directly from Fluttershy's parents (because sometimes kids look more like their grandparents than their parents due to recessive genes.) They are supposed to have bilby- or bunny-ish ears, bat or dragon wings, a frog hand, a tuxedo cat paw, goat legs, and sea monster gills. It was challenging and fun to mix Fluttershy's cute appearance with Discord's monstrous looks!
