This is a creature Equestria is unfamiliar with, but nonetheless, Merrus fits himself into polite society as best he can.
He is a man of few words. When he does speak, he is eloquent and precise.
He carries around an enchanted journal. He seems to always be studying magic. He can cast spells using his claws.
Personality-wise, he is calm and patient, but not always stoic. He is cunning, clever, suave, and values good manners and thoughtful giving. His boundaries tend to be healthy and rock solid.
At his core, Merrus is a gentleman with an unshakable personal code of honor. He believes in setting a good example for those around him.
However, he was not always the upstanding citizen he is today. In the past, he gambled with his own dignity and is still paying the price.
