The Tothra were created by Signi the Deity of Fire and Light. Signi, when ze takes on a form, takes on the form of a Tothra.
As a result, they have a better connection to fire and light than any other of the Twelve.
Berin Starstripe was one, and he was the one who discovered the continent of Beringia. For this reason, many Tothra have been attracted to it, though they do not live there exclusively and can be found all over Rani.
The word passionate describes the Tothra: they never do anything by half. Whether it is learning a new skill, sports, or some other pursuit. They have a connection to heat and light and electromagnetism in general. They are among the more charismatic, but those with darker passions cause major issues.
Their fur tend towards the natural colors and patterns of Earth felines, and they also have a bit of mane on their heads. Magic, of course, allows them even further color options, which they're often keen to explore 'now this color is really me!'.
All members of their species have an innate ability to control heat and light. They are experts at illusions of all sorts and can see from infrared to ultraviolet. They are immune to being harmed by heat or electricity in any way, but really do not like cold (though they are very eager swimmers). The lasting shame from having been involved with being among the first leaders in the Great War means they tend to consider their own motives carefully. It is unfortunately easy for them to become blinded by their own sense of righteousness.
