Said: man TEM met
Plural: Mantemmets
The Mantemmet were created by Mogion the Deity of Change. Mogion, when ze takes on a form, takes on the form of a Mantemmet.
As a result, they love change more than any other of the Twelve. They have the ability to alter their color, sex, and size any way they so desire. Most tend to have wings and a bioluminescent tail.
They live basically anywhere, adapting their bodies to suit the environment. They sometimes travel in swarms and will work together to create temporary shelters wherever they happen to rest. These are restored to how they were when they leave. Similarly, they will live in any dwelling created by the other Twelve, but when they leave one would be hard-pressed to know they were ever there (unless they are insulted by their host, the tales of which ensure such things are far apart indeed).
While they are functionally the opposite of Kanins they are not completely incompatible. Indeed, those living with them find it the greatest sign of their adaptability. This is because they understand the importance of stability, even though they know change is inevitable. They are often behind the better laws that take into account how things may change in the future.
Their bodies are always colorful and they have a set of antennae. There's a saying: "Asking whether the Bilib, Corda, or Mantemmet is more colorful is like asking which rainbow is the prettiest." Though they can access the same color-changing magic other species can, their own innate ability is so much superior it's rarely useful.
Almost all members of their species have wings they can fly with. Their bioluminescent tails can glow in any color they desire and they can switch through them easily. Though they can change almost everything about their appearance (down to their sex), they cannot change species. Or, at least, they cannot physically change into one of the other Twelve. All other species are up to grab, but their tendency towards flamboyance means almost anyone can spot them.
