That being said they did *such* an awful job pushing what seems to amount to a pile of empty folders?

I made the mistake of downloading it to have a look and it looks like just an empty unity scene, they even pushed an "update" because evidently it wasn't functioning properly. I've done several virus scans and dug through my installed programs, and nothing really happened. So they hacked an account to post a fake game virus that doesn't even work lmfao.
