I proudly present to you, my second character: Myrddis
Over the past few years I have tried to outline and write a little bit of a novel I want to write. Myrddis was always a big part of this novel, being the best friend of the POV character Madloc. But throughout the years and after a lot of discussing him with my boyfriend Kalzo, he has become so much more. I felt he finally deserved a visual representation and became a fully fledged part of my life.
So a little information about Myrddis. He is what other dragons call a ‘death dragon’. He might look a little scary, but he is a total sweetheart. Endlessly optimistic and positive, he tries to see the good in everyone, even when others are mean to him.
He comes from a line of dragons that have a lot of stigma around them as bringing doom, destruction and death to those around them. To the point where even other dragons don’t really associate with his kind. This is made all the worse by the rare white scale markings on his back, looking like his vertebrae are painted on his scales. There are legends about death dragons with these markings, seemingly always in the area when terrible stuff happens to dragonkind.
As for actual abilities, Myrddis actually has none. No fire breath, no acid, no armored scaling, nothing that other dragons would have. He only has his claws, tail and teeth to defend himself. I’ll leave the rest of his character for the actual novel (if I finally get my act together and write more of it).
Lastly I want to make clear that Myrddis is not my sona. Madloc is and will remain my only sona forever, but do expect him to show up in art with Madloc and Kalzo in the future.
