Argentinosaurus is one of the largest sauropods in the titanosaur family and among all sauropods. Due to the fragmentary state of its remains, the overall reconstruction of the dinosaur, especially its head, is purely conjectural. For this same reason, it is difficult to estimate the size of Argentinosaurus. Estimates range from 30-40 meters in length to 65-100 tons in weight. However, the 100-ton weight is likely somewhat overestimated, as even the largest dinosaurs were somewhat lighter than they appear due to their hollow bones
