"Industrial Grey Nanopaste, one of planet's most valuable commodities is also one of it's most dangerous.
Part of the animation, it also repurposes 'organic matter' as needed and/or available.
Endless Sky also has a few refs to nano's gone haywire; in one instance they get installed on the wrong ship and they start trying to 'fix' it into the ship they were taken from.
