Platybelodon. An extinct relative of the modern elephant that lived in Africa during the Miocene epoch. It was 3-6 meters long, 2.2-2.8 meters tall at the shoulder, and weighed 2-4 tons. The largest specimens were as large as modern Asian elephants. It was long thought that Platybelodon used its shovel-like tusks in its lower jaw to scoop up freshwater vegetation, which it fed on. However, scientists assessed the damage to the dentin surface of the tusks and discovered that Platybelodon used them to dig up roots and strip bark from trees. New reconstructions depict it with a narrow, "voluminous" trunk. However, I believe the trunk was wide and slightly flattened, but still functioned like the trunk of modern elephants. Sorry if it's too monotonous
