At nintendo's quarters some persistent fans keep begging for any kind of scraps for their favorite franchise, knowing very well that the cameo would help the franchise a lot, finally they managed to get to speak directly to the ones in charge, and gave them what their wanted, obviously helping with the most pricey thing around making a character for a cameo...
