Blackest needs to hide from a shark woman, so he takes cover in a cove. I had a bit of time on my hands and so I made this. It's a sort of first draft of a shark character I might be obsessing about. Ofc, the way it ended up being composed, it also might be that he can't help staring. Anyway, you can imagine how such a situation would play out. As he's torn between cowering behind some rocks and thinking about the ways he might be wronging her, the woman takes a seat atop the cove. The thump of the impact, the groaning of the stone, and the dust that falls into his eyes from the brand new crack in the ceiling alert him to the idea that it might not be safe in his hidey-hole. As the woman leans over and places her hand on her chin or maybe places her hands behind her so she can lean back or begins drumming the cove with her finger (who knows?), it creates enough racket to send Blackest into a fit. As soon as the first fist-sized rocks start clattering to the ground, he's panic-dashing out from under the cove into the open air.
Soon he's out in the light, splashing around a lot of water. It's deeper than he thought. He realizes he got his expectation from observing the woman's toes only partly submerged--his mind shortcutted to a belief that the water would be just as shallow for him as it would be for a giant. That was a mistake. Before he has time to consider any other mistakes he's made, a shadow falls over him. Frightened, he looks up to see a massive hand descending upon him.
Or something like that.
