In the USSR, the film Formula of Love was once shot based on the novel by Alexei Tolstoy "Count Caliostro", where the great adventurer Giuseppe Caliostro competed with higher powers, trying to deduce the formula of love in order to understand the nature of this feeling. So in this poem, the hero tried to do it. Let's see what happened in the end.

I'm impressed you were able to write this poem and have it still rhyme when it was translated into english from the native russian. You must really know some english already, then, to know which words to use!
The first passage opens about the scholar possibly living in a dream. Maybe we are to interpret this as love being dream-like in quality when at its best. Or perhaps chasing after love and finding it is a dream into itself, and true love cannot really be had.
The 2nd paragraph reinforces how desperately the scholar wants to find and define love. Every precaution and preparation has been taken to make sure he is successful. The concept of a dream is mentioned again, reinforcing the message that love can be fleeting and ephemeral.
3rd stanza makes me think that the scholar is finding out that Love can be used as a defense against negative emotions like jealousy. However, it says a drop of lies is used as an ingredient, which shows that love itself includes a willingness to be deceived into thinking that it is possible and forever.
Finally however the poem states in the end that love must be organic and happen naturally, it can't be brewed in a bottle or manufactured with a fake set of restrictions and rules. Perhaps that also means that love is different for everyone in their own experience.
