this day i was reading all about route aggregation!
Route aggregation is part of the mechanisms routers use to figure out where to send computer information when it is being deliverd through them.
it's similar to how ZIP codes / Postal codes work

Let's think for example of a hypthetical postal code of 5 digits

54321

5 identifies the larger region
43 identifies the city or county
21 identifies the neighborhood or postal office

So we can assume that
5XXXX includes all possible cities and neighborhoods in that region
543XX includes all possible neighborhoods or postal offices in that city or county
9XXXX would be an entirely different region altogether

So for example, if we see postal codes
56650 vs 54321
We can generally know that they will be delivered to the same larger region, but to differen cities!

IP address route aggregation works in a similar way

10.0.0.0/8 = larger region
10.1.0.0/16 = city or county
10.1.1.0/24 = neighborhood or postal office
