The Auranan species is stable even before the events of the story. It’s just the species is isolated ever since the events of the Slaver Massacre.
Auranans are common sight in the nation of Solus, Aurelia, and two other nations on Earth. Also common sight on Novum Mars Hierarchy worlds, from Mars and the Hierarchy Colonies. Mainly due to humans (mostly Hierarchy humans) and auranans close trusted allies.
