Letters to Levon the Christian Lion: #27
Levon's twenty-seventh letter, although it is a flashback, because it was written back when (in my universe) Leo the Patriotic Lion was President of the United States.
Parallels of Leo are joint-owned by me and
Chuong. Forgive me for forgetting about this, Chuong! I finally realized it last night. After all, you wrote the original letter for this, and I did the response.

Juno: My advice to Sarkis is this: as long people's bodies and spaces are respected, everything will be fine. He's partially correct about the Spanish Empire conquering the Aztec Empire because one of the real reasons why Hernan Cortes did what he did was because the Aztec Empire practiced human sacrifice, and the Spaniards wanted to stop that because archeological evidence has proved that communities that practiced human sacrifices did not survive in the long run when hard times hit. In their minds, they thought sacrifices would please whatever gods they believed in back then but in the Bible, God wanted people to have the will to survive during hard times so future generations can learn from them. They did not want Leoncio to see what Cortes had to see back then.
Armenak: The Easter rabbit tradition does exist in Armenia today thanks to the Russian Empire. The rabbit is associated with spring, which coincides with Easter. So the rabbit was used as a timely symbol to reference the time of Easter.
Chuong: We're in the future, we can survive without being so uptight. Christianity will still be there, but people are going to have their freedoms. Society changes, traditions don't. Vietnam is an example where society has become modernized rapidly, but our traditions still exist for over a thousand years.
