You do the best scales! <3 I think scales make a major impact on the visuals of a dragon. I've felt this way ever since getting a pet lizard with a variety of scale sizes and shapes back in the late 2000's. You've given me a thick, armored, beastly look which I love. Am I about to give out a quest or devour a party of adventurers? >^.=.^<
13 years with a bearded dragon taught me why they're called dragons and not lizards or geckos! Also, their pointy scales along the eyelids are the first visual scaly thing I noticed.
