I finally decided to draw an abyssal na'vi (a clan that lives in the air-pockets of the abyss). I based my character on two or three pictures by an online artist nicknamed Owlenne, but I still made her a bit more animalistic. Following the advice of a foreign friend, I decided to create my own original character. Meet Naia'lu. Naia'lu lives in a clan from the deepest depths, still unexplored by Earth scientists. Due to their adaptation to life in the abyss, abyssal na'vi have softer bones and weaker muscles. Because they feed on soft-bodied animals and the corpses of giants like tulkuns, their teeth are much sharper, and their digestive systems are accustomed to soft, rotting meat. Of all the clans, the Naia'lu and her clan interact only with the Reef clan through trade. For meetings in "neutral depth" to trade goods through exchange, abyssal na'vi wear sunglasses made of translucent materials such as the oceanic equivalent of obsidian
