The title of this is from the mission of the same name in RDR2, however the art doesn’t really have anything to do with it. I think the phrase is cool when used in a sort of dire way, as in “Welcome to the new world, it’s not a very good place, but this is the future.” So there’s a vulture here because they’re representative of death, possibly the death of the old world, being replaced by this new world that we don’t really want. This is mostly from the part of me that doesn’t like humanity and the death or lack of access to wild places. Welcome to the new world, where humanity rules over everything with their cities and smoke. The death of wilderness, things like that. Now that I think about it this is sort of a theme in RDR2, so maybe the art does have something to do with it.
