Familial Loss TW

This month started off extremely rough with the loss of my uncle very suddenly. I have been spending time with his family; my cousins and aunt. I used to watch their dog in the summer and would exchange doodles with my uncles brother who would watch the doggo during the morning and I during the evening. During services for my uncle, his brother explained that he missed my doodles and suggested a little pen pal doodle swap and I happily agreed.
My very first doodle for him was completed on St. Patrick's Day. He's going through a lot right now and I hope my doodles continue to bring a small joy to his life, and to the memories of my uncle. I saw him every single holiday and my family and myself are feeling his absence very deeply. Pain can really change a person but finding out he still loved me and enjoyed my company more than I originally thought is bittersweet a realization.
