Its you both that I am more concerned about. STEEL knows that it was rogue wielders that took out their own wielder. There will be considerable efforts to find you. McGrath is seeing to it personally.

Not in the slightest. And more so since he is being denied reinforcements from orbit. Essentially what he has on hand now is all he has to work with.


That wasn't confirmed before we attacked his convoys and killed a wielder?

Didn't need to. With the war with Eltyr, STEEL is allocating all as much resources to the frontlines, rather than some skirmishes on a backwater planet in the furthest reaches of civilization.


But yet they make wielders here? And Eltyr thought it important enough to launch a considerable operation.

They did, and now they are gone. Also Sol is far from the only place that wielders are made, just one of the oldest.

Still, a double-edged sword by STEEL when deploying that wielder is that I now have plausible deniability on ordering the interception.

But that does mean that STEEL knows that someone else in authority is at play who did.

But no matter, things could've been far worse had you both not stopped that wielder, and for that I thank you both.

Speaking of, how is Lily by the way?


Holding on. Still a bit shaken by everything, but she is making great progress in controlling her emotions and power. In fact she was the one to deal the final blow to the wielder.

Just make sure she doesn't let that become her. She needs to still retain her original self. And that is not going to be easy given what lies in store ahead for you both.
