• Biography: Artemis is one of the many ½ Mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being born a day after Thessalonike was born, making her part of the 2nd line of ½ Mermaids born to the family and is the twin sister of Lyndis. As Artemis was born a minute after Lyndis, she is the younger twin. Both Lyn & Arty shared the dream of wanting to be heroes like their father, and one day, the twins came across a book detailing the stories of fighters known as the Solstice Warriors. Intrigued, Lyn & Arty both opted to follow a similar fighting style with Artemis representing the Winter Solstice & taking up arms as a Lunar Huntress. Artemis took the time to develop her moon magic first, and it did not take her long to accomplish this feat either. While she did not learn how to use dark magic, Artemis made up for it by learning ice magic instead. She soon moved on to learning how to fight using bladed weapons, namely swords & spears. Though Artemis was proficient with bows, Artemis also picked up knowledge on how to be a proficient gunwoman as well. Needless to say, she trained alongside Lyndis and the two became fits for defending the peace in Hyrule and has been helping to defend the peace of that, and her home world of Olympus ever since. As is to be expected from those in Juni’s family, Artemis is a very friendly girl, inheriting only the best traits from both parents. Dutiful at heart, Arty is capable of handling any task given to her without fail but she is known to be brutally blunt in her talking points on occasion. Arty enjoys days when there is not a cloud in the sky and loves to explore wetlands & woodlands, though she seems to prefer marshes & forests most of all. However, Artemis does not enjoy exploring deserts and is not a big fan of tar. Like a handful of her sisters, Artemis is a proven absolute mudlark, and she will not hesitate to throw herself into a quicksand pit the moment she spots one. She also gets excited when signs of quicksand are discovered in the area she is exploring. However, Artemis, despite not being the biggest tar fan in the family, is willing to give it chances. The best baker of moon pies.
• Abilities: Being ½ Mermaid, Artemis is capable of transforming into her mermaid form the moment she enters the water. As a mermaid, like all her other ½ mermaid siblings, she has excellent swimming speed, can breathe underwater without the need to surface for air; though she & her other sisters form gills to help with this, too, and she can commune with aquatic creatures of any kind. However, she primarily transforms while in either fresh or seawater. And like her mother & siblings, Artemis strongly prefers the water to be clean before she thinks about transforming. Lyndis & Artemis make up the Solstice Sisters, meaning they fight akin to the style of the Solstice Warriors. Artemis represents the Winter Solstice and takes up arms as a Lunar Huntress. As a Lunar Huntress, Artemis focuses on tracking her prey & attacking them at blinding speed. Artemis hunts her foes with sword, spear, bow, and guns, making her one of the few Hylian themed ½ Mermaids to use firearms as a weapon. Artemis favors revolvers, rifles, and shotguns. Artemis’s main magic is Lunar Magic, calling upon the nightly powers of the moon itself to damage enemies. Artemis also uses Ice Magic as well. Her starting gear & magic are as follows.
o Huntress Uniform: Artemis’s main attire for adventuring. It provides a good deal of defense when worn and it muffles Artemis’s movements when moving through woodlands.
o Moon Scarf: A beautiful purple & blue scarf sewn up by Artemis’s mother Palutena. It might look nothing special, but this scarf gives Artemis a great deal of magical power when using lunar magic and reduces her magic consumption by half while worn.
o Eclipse: Artemis’s personal horse. She is so named because her coat looks like it cycles between solar & lunar eclipses across her body. She is capable of handling sand & snow but is ill-suited for mountainous areas.
o Lunar Katana: Artemis’s primary sword. A sharp single edged sword imbued with runes that glow with lunar magic. It can blend in with the night to become unnoticeable until enemies are cut by it.
o Wo Dao: A sword whose crimson blade is as dark as the Bloodmoon Nights. This deals deadly damage to enemies and is likely to critically wound them at times.
o Lunar Naginata: A Damascus born naginata that is a good slasher & stabber. It has terrific range for keeping enemies at bat.
o Luna Longbow: A longbow featuring the goddess Luna. When firing arrows from it at night, the arrows vanish midflight, only reappearing upon striking a target. It’s the perfect sniper bow.
o Master Sword: Like some of her sisters, Artemis owns her own variation of the legendary Blade of Evil’s Bane. While indeed not the original sword, it is just as strong as the original and works just as well. It is capable of firing sword beams when Artemis is at full health and can attack with Skyward Strikes as well.
o Full Moon Shield: A magic shield that shines forth a soothing moonlight in a multitude of directions. The light can unveil enemies who’re invisible and render them vulnerable faster than normal.
o New Moon Shield: A magic shield that can render Artemis invisible when it is put up. It works best on moonless night. Artemis cannot turn invisible while out in the sun.
o Mirror Shield: A shield with a polished, gleaming sheen. Its mirrored surface reflects light brilliantly.
o Revolvers: Handguns packing up to 6 strong shots. These revolvers are unaltered so they can only shoot normal bullets. However, Artemis has special lunar empowered bullets she can shoot. Artemis primarily uses a Colt Peacemaker, but she also uses a Remington 1890 as well. She also uses a Remington 1875, along with a Colt Army & both Navys, and a Remington 1858 NAM that were converted to use cartridges. Artemis also has a Colt Dragoon which only fires off balls.
o Rifles: Long guns with more punch than the revolvers. These are also unmodified, so they only shoot cartridges, though they too use Artemis’s lunar cartridges, too. Artemis primarily uses a Sharps Rifle, but she also carries a Winchester Yellow Boy Musket for repeating action. She also uses a Colt Lightning Rifle, and an M1865 Spencer Rifle. She even has a Spencer Carbine that she likes using while on horseback.
o Shotguns: Artemis’s most powerful guns. These are also unmodified, though since they fire shotshells & slugs, which’re stronger than bullets, they are Artemis’s go to for heavy hitting firearm shots. Artemis usually uses a Remington 870 Fieldmaster & Wingmaster. However, she also carries a Winchester 1912, and a Mossberg 590.
o Eightfold Blade: A single-edged sword traditional to the Sheikah tribe. Forged using ancient technology, it's said to be among the sharpest conventional weapons ever made. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Eightfold Longblade: A single-edged sword seldom seen in Hyrule. This weapon is passed down through the Sheikah tribe and has an astonishingly sharp edge ideal for slicing. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Edge of Duality: A curious double-edged sword crafted using Sheikah technology. It was originally made for Hyrulean knights unfamiliar with single-edged blades. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Serpentine Spear: The spearhead of this weapon is uniquely Sheikah in design. Spear masters of the Sheikah tribe can use the crescent shape to snag their opponents and deliver brutal cuts. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Phrenic Bow: A bow passed down through the Sheikah tribe. Concentrating before drawing the string will allow you to target distant enemies as easily as those nearby. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Shield of the Mind’s Eye: A small Sheikah-made shield. Its design is intended to decrease blind spots without sacrificing too much defense. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Windcleaver: This sword is favored by high-ranking members of the Yiga. When wielded by a proficient fighter, its unique shape cleaves the very wind and creates a vacuum. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Duplex Bow: A bow favored by the skilled archers of the Yiga Clan. It's been engineered to fire two arrows at once to ensure your target comes to a swift and none-too-pleasant halt. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Frostblade: A magical sword forged in the frigid mountains of the Hebra region. When the blade glows blue, enemies struck by it will become frozen. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Great Frostblade: This magic-infused greatsword was forged by smelting ore found in the Hebra Mountains' permafrost. Attacking when the blade glows blue allows it to expel freezing air. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Frostspear: A magical spear forged from ancient ice taken from the Hebra Mountains. Attacking when the blade glows blue allows it to chill the air and freeze an unlucky foe. This one is well cared for. It won’t break.
o Ice Rod: This magic wand launches a sub-zero blast of air which will quickly freeze most enemies. Weaker enemies will be destroyed by this weapon, and even stronger enemies might become solid blocks of ice. Artemis feeds her magic to this rod, so it never runs low on power.
o Blizzard Rod: A magical rod that can cast extreme cold in a wide range. These are crafted from refined ice found at the summit of Hebra Peak. Artemis feeds her magic to this rod, so it never runs low on power.
o Lunar Magic: The magic that harnesses the power of the moon itself. It is effective on enemies that thrive in the day but is still capable of putting nighttime enemies in their place. Artemis can even use it to heal allies. Artemis’s known lunar spells are Moonerang, Moonlight, Lunar Shield, Lunar Beam, and Moonblast.
o Cryomancy: The power of ice magic. Artemis is capable of bending ice to her will and using it to freeze her enemies solid at sub-zero, or even absolute-zero temperatures. Artemis’s known ice spells are Ice Beam, Ice Ball, Ice Rock, Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, and Ice Saber.
