«Little Pig Peter realized he was tired live such way, and he would never return home».
Perhaps one day I'll make a comic book called «Human Rights Activist Peter and the Machine of Repression».
It was originally a character of a children's book «Little Pig Peter and the Machine» (rus: «Поросёнок Пётр и машина»). Later gained fame as a meme about emigration.
According to AbsurdoPedia, Little Pig Peter is a dual citizen – Russian and Ukrainian. Btw, the article about him published there made me laugh (sounds like my life) and inspired me to create this pic
The toy yellow duckling is a symbol of one of protests in Russia, organized by political prisoner Navalny. I put it here on the occasion of his recent death anniversary in jail. Most people who managed to escape and receive international protection did so thanks to their anti-war activism, the fight for freedom and human rights

Piglet Peter is, from the start, a satire on the typical Russian who is "uninterested in politics," doesn't want to change, fix, or fight for anything, but simply waits for everything to be fine and ready-made. And when it doesn't arrive, he packs his bags and leaves. This isn't about a resistance hero, but about a classic "passive consumer" who ignored what was happening under his nose for years, and now makes a tragedy out of it, saying "I'll never return."
Equating the aggressor and the victim of aggression is the height of cynicism and moral bankruptcy.
Ukrainians can't return home not because they're "tired of living this way," but because their homes have been destroyed by missiles, their cities wiped off the face of the earth, their families killed or deported, their territories seized and occupied.
This isn't an equal "both sides are bad." One side is the aggressor, who came to kill and conquer; the other is the one defending itself and surviving under daily shelling.
gonna report this shit

The idea for this work was a request from my friends-emigrants from Ukraine, Russia, and Israel. Your report is that you don't like (your personal vision of) this folklore character and don't share our feelings? Okay.
But you don't even know me х))
My family home is in the village Горлівка in the Donetsk region. And choice of character is based on self-irony, not at attempt to portray or ridicule all of refugees
If your report isn't about my art, but about the material on Absurdopedia, then I agree that the part of the fanfic that touches on Ukraine looks delusional. I didn't finish reading the material and decided that this was unfunny and drawn out. Perhaps if it had been written in Ukrainian language, the such weird humor could better than posting same on russian, idk. I should have use a trigger-warning, or do not link on them at all. My bad
