Mara aka Cyberlynx, is the lead computer engineer and tinkerer of the Night Wolves hacker group. And Mara is in her personal workspace preparing herself to enter into a computer simulation called cyberspace, via a complex simulator machine. And Mara plans on using the simulator to hack her way into the Federation computer network. And from there, Mara can gain access to all of the Federation’s classified information and data, and then leave them with a parting gift in the form of a nasty computer virus.
Neural Simulator:
The way that the simulator machine works, is that it places a user’s brain into artificial world called cyberspace, where nearly anything could be simulated and experienced as if it is real. To enter cyberspace, a user would be strapped into the simulator chair, and then a neural interface headset is put on and the chair then slides deep into the simulator machine. And once the user is fully inside the simulator machine, they are then instructed to focus on a screen within simulator while the machine transports their mind into cyberspace. And once in cyberspace, the local computer system server generates a virtual version of the user’s body into cyberspace.
And from that point on, the user is free to do anything they want, within the confines of the local computer network that the simulator is connected to. And when a user is deeply immersed in cyberspace while performing highly intensive activities, their body in the real world can physically react, to a certain degree. Brain damage could occur if a user is suddenly or accidentally disconnected from the simulator without properly shutting it down first, and because of that users must be strapped down when using the simulator. For the numerous amounts of applications that the simulator can be used for, many companies and organizations around the Asari Kingdom rely on the simulators to get specific jobs and tasks done efficiently.
