Mojara was a sauropod skeleton in a tar pit that got corrupted & revived her into this mutated kaiju-like being. Whether the cause was from radiation or some eldritch force is yet unknown, but when she gets upset it draws out the oil/tar that formed her, developing temporary false "eyes" across her tail from other skeletons that were in the tar pits. Her hair strands are essentially solidified tar. (She intentionally looks a bit like a NEET girl with a thousand yard stare normally)
Mojara is normally curious and not intentionally threatening, but her stand-offish eyes along with her height tends to set off the smaller folk into attacking her anyway.
I'd also add she's based off Gertie the Dinosaur, Gerharha, and a mix of concepts that appeal to me in general.

Haha, she is quite the pear shape, isn't she?
But I'm also glad you like her, I wanted to be sure her intent could be seen from that body language in her shape and positioning, and the artist did great in portraying that. I wanted her to have black hair so I ran through a few different ideas at first for her theming; plant, mix of dinos (ie feathers and more horns), and finally settled on this one when I realized how natural the fit was to link the hair and tar/oil motif together.

Vore warning — I wonder if her belly might evoke one of those messy underground tar/oil pits?
You'd be pretty close with the stomach lining! If you know of acid tar lagoons like Britain has, I imagine her stomach works to a similar level of acidity in breaking down food materials into chyme. In the angry version, you can see her drool out oil, so I imagine her body is like a barrel - clean and [unassuming on the outside, but cut deep enough in it or her, and you'll bleed out some tar.
