What is it that I am, is it what I seem to be
Am I everything I’ve said or done
Or the person I see in me
Am I the my trials and tribulations
Or my life of confrontations
What is it that I am if not my affiliations
What is it that I seek, is it worth the pain I feel
Can I cope with all that came before
Or is the past not even real
Is it the time we don’t have left to grow
What is it deep inside that I can’t let go
Can you cope with the fact that I do even know
What is it that you need, is it something i can give
Will you pay the price and live this life
Or is it something you just can’t forgive
Will you even remember my name
When you decide your done with the pain
If so, I know, I’ll have to watch go and I will deal with the shame
