So at some point I will be running a Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos campaign that is heavily modified to be more good-er or just more suited to my players at least. The original campaign comes with a gaggle of NPC students for your players to befriend, betray, and/or smooch as their proclivities may be. Nothing wrong with those NPCs, don't get me wrong... Buuuut... I find it's more fun for me and more unpredictable for the players if most of the NPCs are ones I made up.

All of these characters have some sort of secret or personal struggle relating to the Themes and whatnot, buuut on the off chance that my players read any of this, I will only be providing very basic surface-information on all these guys.

All of them are first-years at the time that the players start the game, and thus don't necessarily start with their College chosen. But they do have a College they're destined for whether they realize or not. All of them are organized by their destined College on the thing.

Haalt - Orc Wildmagic Barbarian - The granddaughter of the Lorehold Dean of Chaos, Plargg, whose fame and eccentric personality tend to overshadow Haalt.

Arata - Nezumi Eldrich Knight Fighter - Previously an enforcer in a Reckoner Gang back on his home plane of Kamigawa. He left them in order to get an education.

Tebi - Goblin Cleric of Peace - A radical pacifist who follows a fledgling goddess for whom she is the only cleric of so far.

---Second row: Silverquill

Gavril - Demon Paladin of Redemption - A stoic paladin who avoids any "selfish" actions at all cost.

Horos - Male Human Wizard - A young man from Amonket who lived through some frankly horrific events that would take a very long time to explain. Look into what Nikol Bolas did to Amonket, and just know that Horos was like twelve years old when all the lies got revealed. Now he's an adult, and he vehemently hates liars.

Evel Markov - Nonbinary Dhampir Wizard - Only distantly related to some more famous Markov Vampires, and only half a vampire. Evel already has a ruthless reputation on campus.

Bahati - Leonin Spores Druid - She has openly stated that she has no interest in making friends unless they can help her on her journey to become undead.

Ameyali - Mermaid Gloomstalker Ranger - A young woman from the plane of Ixalan who appreciates the natural world.

Matoc - Dwarf Wildmagic Sorcerer - A somewhat sheltered young man who has some anxiety problems.

---Fourth row: Quandrix

Surya - Elf Fey Warlock - A young elf from the plane of Avishkar, known for disliking authority and being a bitch to professors for no reason. Despite this, he's otherwise an excellent student and does extremely well on tests.

Nava - Angel Cleric of Light - Going to this school was apparently considered a great act of rebellion against her fellow angels on the shard of Bant. She openly says she wants to discover if Free Will exists, and if therefore the concept of Good or Evil exists.

Zeris - Kobold Green Dragon Sorcerer - Zeris feels trapped by her feeble kobold form and wants to literally become a dragon.

---Last Row: Prismari

Lampros - Satyr Lore Bard - He's from the plane of Theros, and apparently he lost everything when Phyrexia wrecked the plane not so long ago. Despite this, he's always smiling and looking after his fellow students.

Wulfrun - Elf Arcane Trickster Rogue - Quiet and mistrusting of everyone. She also has trouble accepting criticism. You'll never find a better ice-sculptor than her though.

Ganbataar - Efreet Four-Elements Monk - He's from the plane of Tarkir, having been raised by Jeskai Monks who took him in as an orphan. He apparently has trouble controlling his fire.
