"Many structures within the Mirage fall with time, overtaken by the flora and fauna native to the area therein. Exceptions, however, are integrated facets of settlements into the landscape, long abandoned by their makers and repurposed for the natives of the land. Most commonly, these structures are remnants of developmental attempts; bridges, storm shelters, reservoirs-- now lacking purpose outside of their creator's prospect yet holding strong. It is not out of the ordinary to find a bridge where water no longer flows, or aquifers flowing only with ivy, as many of these monuments have stood for far longer than any one person may know."
