Chaos Steps // Hand-Embroidered Sonadow Sandals
My fingers are definitely feeling the "Chaos" after this one! 🧵👟
I decided to customize a pair of sandals with hand-embroidered portraits of Sonic and Shadow. While the material looks like leather, it's actually a very thick foam-like substance that was a nightmare to stitch through.
The Process:
Characters: Features Shadow on the left sandal and Sonic on the right.
Technique: Entirely done in backstitch.
Difficulty: I had to use a push pin to pre-make every single hole and used the table to force the needle through the thick material.
Time: About 3 hours of work spread over 3 days.
It was a painful labor of love, but I'm ready to take these for a spin!
